Biography
Maria Alberto was born in Puebla, Mexico and came to Pittsburgh at the age of six. Maria attended Community College from 2014-2016. Maria was part of a Latino youth group called Jovenes Sin Nombre,
immigrants who fought for the rights to a bright future. Maria now volunteers with other youth groups in the Catholic Church and helps with CCD classes. Working at Casa San Jose reminds Maria of the
journey of integration for her own family. Giving back to the community by guiding them with resources and making them feel that they are not alone is very heartwarming for her. Maria is a lover of nature and art, discovering her love to capture living moments through photography. Her family is her biggest priority and the reason she is so committed, sharing with others her gracious presence.
